TR3 ProTec is SUNOVA’s own dedicated Pro Race range technology. Evolved from our ProTec construction, it is the latest and greatest offering and provides everything you could ever wish for in a race SUP. Designed to be lighter and more durable than its predecessor but just as FAAST, it feels lively and responsive underfoot but still very nimble.

A super lightweight EPS core is coupled with sustainably sourced Paulownia wood making for a very aesthetically pleasing package. The wood is sandwiched over the entire board including the rails with fiberglass and bio epoxy resin. In the recessed standing area, there is a double paulownia fiberglass sandwich for extra strength and resistance to depressions.

Finished off with solid balsa nose and tail blocks for additional resistance to dings along with fiberglass reinforcements in select areas, these boards are designed to find the perfect balance between strength and weight. TR3 ProTec boards come with many handle positions and great neoprene straps to carry them which are both lightweight and functional.

Additionally, all boards come standard with an FCS plug for a GPS or action cam. A special non-skid acrylic spray is applied to all standing areas where an EVA pad is not, enabling you to be prepared for any situation on the water. Fitted with a self-regulating air vent that utilizes a slightly permeable Goretex membrane encased in a special aluminum vent designed and engineered by TBF, TR3 ProTec boards will have you performing at your best.
Morphlex is SUNOVA’s premium performance construction. Developed over the last 5 years, from the ever persistent pursuit of perfect performance, It is our primary construction for all surfboards under 8’. Morphlex is designed to have more spring and return in shorter boards than its Balsa Flex predecessor, giving you a positive “more flexible” flex pattern as the board is loaded and unloaded through sections. “Morphing” and bending right into the pocket and rebounding predictably these boards fly out of sections with so much speed and life. A lightweight EPS core is coupled with a ½” parabolic balsa/composite rail that is then sandwiched between balsa skins top and bottom offering a product with unmatched spring and return. 

The bottom is a 1.5mm balsa/fiberglass sandwich that is not completely rigid. This softer area on the bottom cushions the ride of the board, making it amazingly unaffected by chatter, giving you a smooth ride even when conditions are bumpy and average. The deck is a 2mm balsa/fiberglass sandwich with highlighted mini I beams that connect the glass under the wood, with the glass over. This creates a very rigid strong sandwich structure that is incredibly resistant to compressions, creating a strong and responsive feeling underfoot.
