Anthony 'Harries' Carroll, a name synonymous with Bondi Beach, has dedicated over three decades to safeguarding Australia's shores. Growing up in Clovelly, Sydney, Harries developed an early passion for the ocean, leading him to a lifelong career as a lifesaver and lifeguard.
From Local Shores to Global Screens
Harries' expertise and charismatic presence caught the attention of television producers, leading to his prominent role in the internationally acclaimed series, Bondi Rescue. Surfing Passion and Board Design
An avid surfer, Harries is particularly passionate about longboarding, often hitting the waves up to six times a week. His deep connection to surfing led to a collaboration with Sunova Surfboards, resulting in the creation of the "Harries Pro" model. This high-performance longboard, designed to match Harries' energetic style, offers exceptional speed and responsiveness.
Furthering his contributions to surfboard design, Harries teamed up with Sunova's renowned shaper Bert Burger to develop the "Bondi 8Ball" and the "Bondi Hottie"—a performance mid-length foamie created for the diverse conditions of Bondi Beach.
